TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Borujerdi said here Monday that West should give incentives and broaden cooperation with those committed to NPT protocol and strive for peaceful use of nuclear technology.

Speaking to IRNA, he said the move would give a boost to NPT protocol. If countries like Pakistan, India, North Korea and the Zionist regime kept up their nuclear tests, it is because of their non-compliance with international rules and regulations along with their non-membership of NPT, he said.

West should encourage and cooperate with countries, like the Islamic Republic of Iran, which abide by NPT protocol and conduct their activities under the supervision of IAEA in line with international rules and regulations, he said.

Iran is the only country which, in addition to committing itself to NPT abides, is bound by religious directives of its Supreme Leader who has banned the move, he said.

It is logical that when Iran has defined its peaceful strategy, the West should never hesitate to share in the country's peaceful nuclear developments, he underlined.

U.S. should stop its double-standard policy in the world, he said adding that since the U.S. is the only country which has resorted to the use of nuclear bombs to massacre innocent civilians and is continuing its current policy in contradiction of Article Six of the NPT, the world would witness continued nuclear tests, he said.

The only solution which can put an end to such situation is collective determination of the global community to eradicate proliferation of nuclear weapons, he concluded.
